# StickerMap: expanded project information

## Summary

StickerMap is an independent civic technology project. It provides a public, bilingual map on which people can anonymously report hostile, anti-constitutional and far-right stickers, graffiti and symbols found in public spaces. A report contains a location, a category, a status and a photo used for documentation and moderation.

The project’s goal is to make hostile material visible, support civic action and document whether reported material is still present, covered, removed or otherwise resolved. Displaying such material is strictly documentary and does not constitute endorsement.

## What belongs on StickerMap

- Physical stickers, graffiti, writings and symbols found in public spaces.
- Material that is hostile toward people, anti-constitutional, unconstitutional or associated with far-right ideology.
- Objects that can physically be removed, cleaned or covered.
- Follow-up reports documenting a changed status.

## What does not belong on StickerMap

- Legal election posters merely because of their political content.
- Ordinary or officially issued vehicle licence plates, including ambiguous number combinations.
- Private photographs of people, homes or buildings without a direct relevant public context.
- Photos exposing faces, licence plates or other identifying personal data.
- Content submitted to promote, glorify or distribute hostile ideology.

## Reporting process

1. A person selects or confirms the location.
2. They choose a report type and category.
3. They upload a documentary photo and may add a description.
4. They confirm the privacy requirements.
5. The report can be moderated and its status can later be updated.

StickerMap does not require a public user account for reports. Reports are designed to be anonymous. The current privacy policy is authoritative for exact processing details:

## Status model

- Present: the reported object is still visible.
- Covered: it has been covered but may still exist underneath.
- Removed: it has been physically removed.
- Resolved: the report has otherwise been completed or closed.

The live application and its API-backed views are the authoritative sources for current counts and report status. Static descriptions in this file should not be treated as a live data export.
