Good to know

App or just a bookmark?

Only Chrome and Edge install StickerMap as a real app (with its own icon and the "Hier melden" quick action on long-press). All other browsers merely place a shortcut to the currently open page on your home screen.
Hence the crucial trick for Safari, Firefox & co.:

Open stickermap.de/melden before adding – your home screen icon will then launch straight into reporting mode at your location instead of just the map.

How to do it in your browser

Desktop – Chrome / Edge

Your browser
  1. Click the install icon on the right of the address bar – or:
  2. Browser menu → choose "Install StickerMap".

Android – Chrome

  1. Tap the "Install now" button above (if visible) – or:
  2. Open the ⋮ menu in the top right → choose "Install app".
  3. Confirm – done.
Afterwards: long-press the app icon → "Hier melden" appears as a quick action.

Android – Firefox

  1. First open stickermap.de/melden (button above).
  2. Open the ⋮ menu → "Add to Home screen".
  3. Confirm – the icon will launch straight into reporting mode.

Android – Samsung Internet

  1. First open stickermap.de/melden (button above).
  2. Menu ☰ bottom right → "Add page to" → "Home screen".
  3. Confirm – the icon will launch straight into reporting mode.

Android – Opera

  1. Tap the "Install now" button above (if visible) – or:
  2. Menu ⋮ in the top right → "Add to home screen" or "Install app".
  3. Confirm – done.

iPhone / iPad – Safari

  1. First open stickermap.de/melden (button above).
  2. Tap the Share icon (square with arrow ↑) at the bottom.
  3. Choose "Add to Home Screen" and confirm.
The icon will then launch straight into reporting mode at your location.

iPhone / iPad – Chrome

  1. First open stickermap.de/melden (button above).
  2. Tap the Share icon in the top right.
  3. Choose "Add to Home Screen" (iOS 16.4 or later).

Desktop – Opera

  1. Click the install icon in the address bar (right side) – or:
  2. Opera menu (top left "O") → "Install page as app" or "Add to apps".

Desktop – Firefox

  1. Open Firefox menu ☰ → "Install page as app".
  2. Available from Firefox 113. The icon then opens straight into the app.
